This is a wine with a string of accolades from the NZ Organic Wine Awards for several vintages to prove it. In 2018, it scored Champion Sauvignon Blanc. The next year, it picked up Gold. In 2021, it scored the coveted ‘Riedel Wine of the Show’. This year it has just taken out GOLD!
The 2022 vintage was crafted using grapes from two vineyards for the first time. 75% of the blend comes via an older organic vineyard in the Central Wairau Valley of Marlborough. They’re joined by grapes from the team’s family-owned vineyard in the lower Rapaura sub-region of the Wairau Valley of Marlborough. That has special significance, because 2022 was its first full year under the ‘organic’ banner.
The combination of nature and location have produced a wine that is naturally concentrated and complex, with great body - and the finesse that a higher acidity delivers. It’s bursting with citrus and tropical fruit aromas, which follow through on your tongue. Lemon and lime dance with notes of passionfruit, guava and elderflower. It’s easy to enjoy - and well worth stocking up on several bottles.

Fruit for this small batch Savvy Blanc was sourced from a single high altitude vineyard 185 metres above sea level. It's one of Hawke's Bay's most distinctive vineyards and makes for more aromatic fruit.
Rod’s ‘light-touch’ winemaking techniques have conserved the unique fruit characters of this site - it's quite different from typical Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. There are pronounced tropical fruit characters but with that limey chalky texture that only limestone provides. Think passionfruit and lemongrass. Slightly longer time on yeast lees have given it texture and depth as it balances fruit intensity and cooling acidity.
Coming from a single site and created by the bloke who was once the head winemaker at Craggy Range, this crisp white is sure to be a big hit!

Tash Mooney’s Italian Kiss is a delicious blend of Pinot Gris and Arneis. The grapes were picked separately in the vineyard, the Juice being kept cold and fresh, and then made with minimal intervention and filtration to ensure we have maximum fruit intensity coming into the glass.
This wine is fresh and vibrant with flavours of nectarine and pear, and a hint of passionfruit aromas too, so it’s perfect warm weather drinking.
