Sam is renowned for re-working each vintage based on Angel feedback and this is no exception. This wine has the flavours of spring like snow peas and herbs, plus a heady tropical note. It’s crisp but with a roundness which softens it a little.

Winemaker Brian Fletcher is always very meticulous about selecting grapes for this blend that haven’t had too much direct sunlight, making them full of wonderful, fresh fruit flavours. “Growers are as important to the process as anything,” he explains. “ It’s their grapes you are drinking and I’m the translator.”
You first experience the value of this focus when you raise your glass, with vibrant aromas greeting you immediately. Fresh cut grass, a touch of zippy passionfruit icing… this is the perfect Summertime wine.
The first sip confirms everything you hoped for. There’s a lot of bright, zingy flavours right off the top, with a beautiful hint of sherbert to make your mouth water. The Semillon has given this a nice, persistent finish, making it a wonderfully well rounded glass of wine (or glasses!)

A portion of this wine went into a concrete egg to develop. The unique shape creates a constant temperature and circulation for the wine and lees (dead yeast) inside the tank, creating a more complex and interesting glassful.
Get ready for a festival of pear and apple with a whiff of walnuts and honeysuckle. By using different winemaking techniques, Derek and the gang believe they’ve brought you a fun and unique drop of white. Try it and let them know if they're correct!
