Gisborne visionary chardonnay!
This Chardonnay is sourced from a single vineyard in the renowned Putatahi sub-region of Gisborne, N.Z. Its grapes are highly sought after due to the unique Burgundian clone of Chardonnay planted by a visionary many years ago.
What a stunning premium Chardonnay this is! From the very first swirl you’ll be awestruck by the levels of complexity and flavour. Lifted peach and melon notes meld seamlessly with a hint of almond-like characters. The influence of oak is minimal and the flavours deceptively rich.
This Chardonnay has been given the gold class treatment from the get-go! The very finest grapes partially fermented in unique concrete-egg tanks, and matured in french oak with plenty of TLC along the way. It will leave you wanting more as you’re left with an oh so delicious fruity, savoury finish.

Drink now or age for another 2 years for added complexity.

Serve chilled and allow air and time to let the wine warm in the glass to reveal complexity and nuance.
Food match
This is a great match rich fish dishes such as baked salmon. But also shellfish/crustaceans such as scallops and shrimps.

Meet the winemaker - Rod Easthope
Rod is one of the most respected winemakers in New Zealand. He left top NZ wine label Craggy Range to chart his own course and make wines just for us. And he's never looked back.
He loves the freedom to make wines directly for enthusiastic Angels and looks forward to their feedback on every wine. Their support has allowed him to buy his own vineyard and winery to give his wines a home and live more sustainably.
Rod’s aim is to give Angels a slice of his unique corner of NZ, in a glass. He knows all the best growers and where their grapes are hiding, so only the best make it into his wines!
