Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

Daryl Groom is a red wine master and his Shiraz is truly exceptional. But if you want to discover it for yourself, please don’t wait - this wine will be quickly snaffled up by Angels who know just how premium Daryl’s wines are. Daryl adores making Shiraz… and you can taste that love in every sip.

Daryl is one of Australia’s best winemakers. Daryl’s clocked up more than 35 years experience, including being Penfold’s Senior Red Winemaker in the ‘80s. His 1986 Grange was arguably one of the top three ever made. Daryl’s won a whopping nine Winemaker of the Year awards in the USA, been named by Food and Wine Magazine as one of 11 visionaries to change the world of wine, and his wines have been served at the Oscars and Emmys. Twice.

DRG Barossa Shiraz 2024 is a classic. Bold and juicy, yet still silky and sexy. It’s packed with black fruits, licorice, mocha and vanilla, with some caramel and smokiness from the barrels. It represents outstanding value and the 2021 vintage was rated by James Halliday as one of Australia’s top Shiraz.
Best before
I personally love shiraz in its youth because of its vibrance and silkiness. Having made wines from this area for 40 years and this particular vineyard for 25 years I know this wine will age well in bottle for 30+ years (2055).
Serving advice
If you are enjoying the wine in its youth sometime a little aeration helps bring out the fruit and soften the edges. Personally I like to just pour straight from the bottle and aerate and swirl in the glass. Best served at room temperature 64 degrees or below.
Food match
Red meats like beef, lamb and game. Yummy also with Indian food if you want a red wine with this cuisine.
