This is a high intensity wine. Think flavour bomb – and that will only develop over time. Think dark fruits, grippy tannins and a moreish savoury edge. Delicious and unforgettable.

A top tip from Sam? Open this baby an hour or so before you want to drink it, to let it breathe.
Best before
The wine has good intensity of flavour, and is an enjoyable drink now. There is also enough grip to the tannin, along with the high intensity of flavour which let me say that it will develop in the bottle for 5-7 years. The normal language about aging is to say it will 'improve' in the bottle. But I'm just going to say it will develop, because I really do think it's a lovely drink now. I know it will be more savoury and complex as it develops, but not necessarily improved from now!
Serving advice
You can open it and drink now, but if there is time, let it breath for an hour or so.
Food match
Roasted whole piece of Eye Fillet steak. A bit of the charry black stuff on the outside, and juicy pink inside!

Meet the winemaker - Sam Plunkett
- Winemaking legend Sam sources grapes from the family vineyard in the Strathbogie ranges of Central Victoria. Winemakers don't come much more in love with their job than him - he'd "happily spend everyday around tanks, barrels, stainless steel toys and wine".
He’s had a meteoric rise from self-taught winemaker to a multi award-winner and even has his own cellar door now! His winery was recently recognised as one of the Top 10 Dark Horse wineries in James Halliday's 2021 Awards.
The backing of thousands of Naked Angels has helped pave the way for Sam to continue making the great wine he loves, exclusively for you!
