Stratford Vineyard Limited Release Shiraz 2018
About the wine
Full-flavoured, rich and smooth, quality drop
- Cool winters and warm summers have ensured the quality of grapes used for this sensational Shiraz are second-to-none. It showcases fruit from Stratford’s family owned, single estate vineyard, located on the banks of Central Victoria’s Goulburn River. The grapes enjoyed a long growing season which has resulted in full flavour and silky tannins.
- Rich, supple fruit flavours will enchant from your first sip. But even before you get that chance, you’re greeted with aromas of cherry blossom, blood plum and blackberry. There’s a wonderful full-bodied taste, with dark forest fruits and hints of licorice and white pepper. A lingering finish of soft tannins is thanks to a year spent in French and American oak barrels… and is very welcome!
- Low yielding, mature vines have ensured the quality of this Shiraz is superb. But given a few extra years in the bottle, it’s also had the chance to sink into its rich flavours and add further complexity. Give it a moment to breathe when you open it, and you’ll be treated to a sensational Shiraz.
Best before
The wines already have a time aging and are ready to be enjoyed now. That being said, the quality of the fruit and winemaking means there is still further aging potential.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Barbara Gallo & Glenn Eberbach
The team at Stratford Vineyard have been successfully making excellent wines for many years. The vineyard has been awarded over 700 awards in the last six years including winery of the year, double gold, gold, silver and bronze medals in Australia and International wine shows.
Chances are, you’ve heard of Stratford Vineyard before - only then they were known by a different name. They first joined Naked’s Stop the Squeeze program with the Lagoon View wines that were caught up in the China tariff crisis. The relationship was intended to be temporary. Then something very special happened.
Both the Stratford team and the Angels adored one another so much, the team decided to be part of Naked exclusively… and permanently. So here they are, using their actual vineyard’s name, with Naked for good! May we introduce vineyard co-owners Barbara and Sam Gallo and their winemaker, Glenn Eberbach - our newest team behind Stratford Vineyard.
