Blindside Geographe Tempranillo 2015
About the wine
Naked's debut Tempranillo direct from Ben's old school workshop
- There's not much else to worry about other than the fact that this wine just feels SO good when it hits your lips! It's rich, dense fruit and amazing natural tannins are undeniably moreish. The warmer climate of Geographe, next door to Margaret River, make it perfect for hardy varietals. Enter: the Spanish bull, Tempranillo!
- Hours of hands on bubble bubble toil and trouble-ing allowed Ben to fulfil the potential of this cracking varietal. A truly untamed wonder; it was hand plunged, wild fermented and then left in barrel for 12 months. Corporate wine producers simply would not risk a boutique venture like this!
- This Tempranillo was selling for $75 in a Sydney restaurant a few vintages ago. The Angel value is simply amazing at under $20, delivered to your door ready to fill your home with beautiful vinho tinto aromas. Get it in your basket before it's gone!
Best before
This will age well and develop over 8-12 years.
Serving advice
A quick decant before serving is good. Some air will help the layers open up.
Food match
A big hot Paella! Also great with a feast of roast lamb and all your favourite trimmings.
Contains sulphites
