Our wine industry is broken
For years the big retailers have been giving winemakers and wine drinkers like you a lousy deal. They have so much buying power, winemakers have to practically give their wines away to be on their shelves. They then sell them at full price to you, taking a big margin. It’s not sustainable for winemakers, you pay too much for very average wine, and the only winner is the supermarkets.
