A Marlborough gem - Sauvignon Blanc does not get better than this

This is a wine with a string of accolades from the NZ Organic Wine Awards for several vintages to prove it. In 2018, it scored Champion Sauvignon Blanc. The next year, it picked up Gold. In 2021, it scored the coveted ‘Riedel Wine of the Show’. This year it has just taken out GOLD!

The 2023 vintage was crafted using grapes from two vineyards for the second time. 75% of the blend comes via an older organic vineyard in the Central Wairau Valley of Marlborough. They’re joined by grapes from the team’s family-owned vineyard in the lower Rapaura sub-region of the Wairau Valley of Marlborough. That has special significance, because 2022 was its first full year under the ‘organic’ banner.

The combination of nature and location have produced a wine that is naturally concentrated and complex, with great body - and the finesse that a higher acidity delivers. It’s bursting with citrus and tropical fruit aromas, which follow through on your tongue. Lemon and lime dance with notes of passionfruit, guava and elderflower. It’s easy to enjoy - and well worth stocking up on several bottles.
