Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Frozen grapes, liquid gold
"Ice wines fit in amongst the dessert wine style and will be well loved by any sweet tooth. This wine is sweet but doesn't go so far as being thick and syrupy. It remains light enough to be enjoyed in Summer, chilled is best." - Katrina, Angel
This wine in 3 words:
Magic: Rare
Taste: Luscious
Food: Cheese platterFrozen grapes, tiny yields, big flavour – Estate-grown Gewürztraminer and Riesling from the coolest, highest Adelaide Hills blocks, left hanging for extra intensity, then frozen before pressing. It’s painstaking, small-batch winemaking that pulls just a trickle of ultra-concentrated, aromatic juice — the real deal Ice Wine style.
Lush, floral and beautifully balanced – Rose petal, lychee, candied citrus and marmalade leap out of the glass, followed by a silky, honeyed palate loaded with sweet nectar, tropical fruit and butterscotch. Crucially, Riesling’s zippy acidity keeps everything bright, fresh and never cloying.
A special-occasion wine without the scary price tag – This is a tiny-production, labour-intensive dessert wine from a trophy-winning Adelaide Hills estate — the kind of thing that usually costs a lot more. Made only when conditions allow and often snapped up fast, it’s a rare chance to secure something genuinely special that drinks beautifully now or rewards patience in the cellar.
Best before
Drink now for its vibrant fruit and luscious freshness, or cellar 5-8 years in a cool, dark place to develop deeper marmalade, honey and toffee notes while retaining a core of acidity and lift.
Serving advice
Serve well chilled; stand the bottle upright for a few hours, then simply chill-open-pour to enjoy the purity of aromatics without the need for decanting.
Food match
Perfect with a classic Adelaide Hills apple crumble, lemon meringue tart or a platter of locally made blue and washed rind cheeses, where the wine's sweetness and acidity balance richness and highlight regional produce.
