Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
A lighter, fresher Grenache with serious drink-me-now energy
- "A refreshing 'summer' red that's equally happy to be enjoyed in winter." - Jane, Angel (of the 2022 vintage)
This wine in 3 words:
Magic: Chillable
Taste: Juicy
Food: PizzaPure Swan Valley goodness – Sourced from the Swan Valley in WA (the state’s oldest wine region), off 35-year-old vines that naturally keep yields low and flavour high. A "Goldilocks" vintage too – not too hot, nice and even ripening, which means purity and balance in the glass.
Bright, juicy and dangerously drinkable – Think cherry and strawberry up front, a little nutmeg and clove in the background, and a light, smooth body that just glides along. There’s a touch of mid-palate sweetness, then fine, chalky tannins to keep things fresh and moreish. Chill it slightly in summer, room temp in winter – either way, it shines.
Made with care, priced with purpose – Hand-picked fruit, partial carbonic maceration for extra lift and juiciness, and rested in old oak (not to "oak it up", just to soften and round things out). It drinks like your favourite modern Aussie Grenache but with Naked value written all over it. Delicious now, or happily cellar for up to five years. Perfect excuse to order a case… and fire up the pizza oven.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Kym Carr
- Rooted in Margaret River, shaped by the world - A lifelong connection to Margaret River, refined by a formative Beaujolais vintage and 25+ years working with some of the region's most respected wineries. "I love wines with texture and body, the kind that make you want to sip slowly and savour every mouthful. That's why I always work with solids and lees to build richness, whether the wine is hanging out in oak or chilling in a tank - it's all about giving each wine a little extra character and soul," says Kym.
- A true one-woman winemaking force - Founder of Dream Bird Wines, Kym does it all: sourcing fruit, making the wine, bottling, labelling, and delivering, with total respect for vineyard and craft. "People are over the big, faceless brands and they are craving a story in their glass. Just like food, wine is becoming personal again - drinkers want to know where it comes from and feel a real connection to it. It's exciting to be a part of that shift."
- Thoughtful, expressive, and deeply human - Kym crafts wines driven by curiosity, texture, and delicious drinkability, focused on storytelling, connection, and making people smile. "When I first started out, I used to look at winemakers with a mix of awe and intimidation - making good wine felt like magic, something almost untouchable. Over the years, I've realised it's not magic at all; it's all about respect for the vineyard and the fruit. Start with grapes that are cared for, and the rest is just a journey of discovery."
