About the wine
Sensational Margaret River Chardonnay
- Chardonnay is synonymous with Margaret River and Chardonnay is the queen of grapes in Kym’s opinion, so this is a match made in heaven! The grapes come from three different vineyards - the majority being from Wilyabrup.
- The different parcels were pressed straight into barrels where they were wild fermented and then left to mature. The result is a complex and creamy dance of white peach, guava and lemon rind, with a whiff of salty seabreeze.
- You can’t buy top Margaret River chardonnay anywhere else at this price. And this is a new vintage from Kym, so dive in, and once you’ve tried it, tell her what you think!

Meet the winemaker - Kym Carr
- Rooted in Margaret River, shaped by the world - A lifelong connection to Margaret River, refined by a formative Beaujolais vintage and 25+ years working with some of the region's most respected wineries. "I love wines with texture and body, the kind that make you want to sip slowly and savour every mouthful. That's why I always work with solids and lees to build richness, whether the wine is hanging out in oak or chilling in a tank - it's all about giving each wine a little extra character and soul," says Kym.
- A true one-woman winemaking force - Founder of Dream Bird Wines, Kym does it all: sourcing fruit, making the wine, bottling, labelling, and delivering, with total respect for vineyard and craft. "People are over the big, faceless brands and they are craving a story in their glass. Just like food, wine is becoming personal again - drinkers want to know where it comes from and feel a real connection to it. It's exciting to be a part of that shift."
