About the wine
Double talent, one epic Barossa Shiraz
- Now you won’t see THIS every day - two Barons of the Barossa, two Barossa Winemakers of the Year, getting together to make one incredible and exclusive wine just for Angels. Introducing the Double Act.
- Stuart (Stuey) Bourne and Tim Smith aren't just rockstar South Australian winemakers though. They're also great mates. When we tasked them with making a wine together (as a special collaboration, just in time for Christmas), they didn't hesitate to say yes.
- It’s a mouth-filling, rich, lingering drop. It’s medium-bodied and not too overpowering, with just the right amount of oak. Stuey brought his flair for aromatics, with succulent red, blue and black fruits wafting out of the glass. Tim delivered his signature layering, and both ensured the wine has a strong core of Barossa grapes, which showcase their legendary magic.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Stuart Bourne
- Why did Stuart go down the wild winemaking path? To be able to drink his homework of course! Working right alongside three of his closest mates is the cherry on the top of this winemaking guru's story so far.
- He was originally a graduate in both Anatomy and Pharmacology. Since winemaking combines every discipline of Science, it appeals to the geek within. He loves tasting his experiments and now has 20 Australian vintages under his belt!
- For Stuart, it is the local growing families that continue to be the beating heart of the Barossa's world famous brilliance generation after generation. His passion for the Barossa has led to plenty of career highlights, like making it into the Top 100 Wines of the World in The Wine Spectator. Having a wine that he made served to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II also wasn't a bad day at the office!
