About the wine
The only wine of it's kind, fit for a King
- The 2012 King of wines is finally ready for release! A big unabashed Barolo just for Angels to devour. It's landed on Aussie shores (in incredibly small quantities) thanks to the supremely talented Gianfranco and Serena, all the way from their Northern Italian vineyards. With a few years in the bottle already, it's had time to develop so you can enjoy now or hide it away in the cellar even longer.
- Known as "the wine of Kings and the King of wines", this deep, dark and brooding Barolo certainly lives up to its reputation. Full of deliciously ripe, ruby red Nebbiolo fruit , it has layer upon layer of caramel-tinged oak and complexity. Bearing the name of it's only DOCG certified origin, the Piedmont sub-region of Barolo, this is the masculine hero of Italian reds.
- It's no secret that Barolo would normally see you handing over lotsa dosh. Of course, with Angel funding behind this talented father daughter winemaking duo, you'll only pay exactly what the delicious juice is worth, not a penny more. Grab yourself a bottle to try pairing with a rich and creamy mushroom risotto, finished with a drizzle of truffle oil. Go on, you deserve it!
Best before
Will age perfectly until 2027. Five years of ageing has already been done so you can enjoy a bottle now as well!

With all the layers in this wine, it's certainly best to open one hour before and use a decanter.
