Byron & Harold The Companions Chardonnay 2021
About the wine
Crisp, sophisticated WA Chardonnay
Fruit from the Margaret River and Great Southern vineyards of WA are the secret to this refreshing Chardonnay. Skillful blending of the best of the two regions has created a complex yet balanced wine in a modern style.
The grapes were picked during the cool night to help lock in the juicy fruit flavours. It’s been fermented and matured in French oak but held back from malolactic fermentation so it’s zippy rather than buttery.
Grab yourself a glass of its tropical and stone fruit vibe with a hint of almond on toast. It’s crisp, elegant and long-lasting on the tongue, if not in your glass!
Best before
This wine will cellar well for up to 3 years, although with the right conditions it could cellar for up to 5 years.
Serving advice
Our best advice would be to remove this chardonnay from the fridge 5-10 minutes before you want to drink it, allowing it to come up in temperature just slightly. It will open up the wine beautifully.
Food match
Pairs beautifully with a roasted chicken salad with peaches and macadamia nuts, or a spring vegetable risotto.
Contains sulphites
