About the wine
Pinot Gris with a little extra oomph
This wine in 3 words:
Magic: Fuller-style Margaret River Gris
Taste: Spiced pear. Creamy. Nutty.
Food: Seafood. Platters. Good company.A Christmas-only passion project: This was submitted for our 2026 Christmas Collection, where every wine was tasted by our wine team and Head of Wine. It made the cut - and it’s a very limited release. Made with hand-picked Margaret River Pinot Gris and a splash of Chardonnay, it’s designed to be generous, textured and seriously food-friendly.
Pinot Gris with some proper personality: The fruit is whole-bunch pressed and naturally fermented in barrel, then left on its lees in seasoned French oak for five months. A short carbonic maceration lifts the aromatics, while that little hit of Chardonnay adds extra middle-palate body. Think spiced pear, fresh fruit, creamy nuttiness and a beautifully rounded texture, finishing crisp and fresh.
For pouring generously: This is closer to the fuller, richer style of Pinot Gris you’ll find in Alsace than the leaner Italian style - and it’s made for drinking now. Chill it properly, pour a generous glass and get a seafood platter involved. Or skip the food altogether and just enjoy it with good company.
Best before
Drink young and enjoy it now – this isn't a cellaring wine, it's meant for the here and now.
Serving advice
Chill it properly and pour generously – that's the whole idea behind it.
Food match
A seafood platter, or honestly just good company and no food required.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Brian Fletcher
- Once the chief winemaker for Evans & Tate, Brian is one of Margaret River’s greatest treasures — and ours! In 30+ years in the business, he’s collected over 50 Trophies and 100s of medals. He works with a trusted network of exceptional local growers who guarantee him the best fruit. “They're as important to the process as anything,” he says. “ It’s their grapes you are drinking and I’m the translator.”
- He’s also a wizz in European wine production, earned through back-breaking vintages in old wineries in Italy and Tunisia. In fact, it was during Brian’s 5-year stint in Italy that he truly found his wine feet and decided there was no other life for him.
- Even with a resume like his, getting Naked in 2012 was a big deal for Brian. It meant he could create his own wines in his own name and share them with big-hearted wine lovers like you. And the direct connection to chat with you is the icing on the cake!
