Westbound Truffle Block Merlot 2019
About the wine
The Truffle Block delivers again!
With over 20 years of winemaking experience up his sleeve, Ben Rector knows exactly which grapes to pour into this vibrant Western Australia Merlot!
Hailing from a truffle block abundant with rich and healthy soil, the fruit was hand picked to guarantee that only the most pristine, flavour-filled bunches were kept.
After gently maturing in seasoned French oak, black plum, dark cherry and blueberry aromas emerged resulting in a rich and decadent Merlot that red wine lovers won’t want to miss!
Best before
Drink young for bright and intensive fruit, but cellar for 5-8 years for a softer more luscious mouthfeel. Will peak at 3-5 years.
