Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Incredible value from a renowned region!
- The last vintage scored a 94% Would Buy Again rating from hundreds of fans (who are eagerly awaiting this year’s release!) Showcasing grapes from Margaret River, Australia’s premium Chardonnay region, this wine consistently races out the door. That’s helped by the fact it’s a top notch drop at an incredibly good price - under $17 a bottle for Angels!
- Once the chief winemaker for Evans & Tate, Brian is one of Margaret River’s greatest treasures — and thankfully, ours too. In over 30 years in the business, he’s collected a haul of trophies and medals, and has an impeccable reputation in both Australia and Europe. This Chardonnay has instantly earned its place as yet another treasure.
- Brain has carefully protected what the grapes have delivered. “It has a crispness, a liveliness, and a diamond-cut hit of fruit flavour,” he shares. “Oak is there, but restrained, and enough.”
Best before
Easy to see five years with this, however, the attractiveness would be lost. The "attractiveness" is the Chardonnay. Do not forget, when you bottle age a wine, the primary fruit aromas you see early on move away to be replaced by a bouquet of complexity. Ageing wine changes the proposition but not necessarily for the better!
Serving advice
No! Chill it to 18c and go.
Food match
I'm thinking Japanese - it's got to be sashimi.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Brian Fletcher
- Once the chief winemaker for Evans & Tate, Brian is one of Margaret River’s greatest treasures — and ours! In 30+ years in the business, he’s collected over 50 Trophies and 100s of medals. He works with a trusted network of exceptional local growers who guarantee him the best fruit. “They're as important to the process as anything,” he says. “ It’s their grapes you are drinking and I’m the translator.”
- He’s also a wizz in European wine production, earned through back-breaking vintages in old wineries in Italy and Tunisia. In fact, it was during Brian’s 5-year stint in Italy that he truly found his wine feet and decided there was no other life for him.
- Even with a resume like his, getting Naked in 2012 was a big deal for Brian. It meant he could create his own wines in his own name and share them with big-hearted wine lovers like you. And the direct connection to chat with you is the icing on the cake!
