Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
A refreshing Barossa Grenache for warmer days
- Single-vineyard Grenache: Full flavour with early-picked fruit – sourced from Rosedale on the western edge of the Barossa Valley, grafted from Chardonnay vines. Destemmed but not crushed, with whole-berry carbonic maceration for a burst of fresh, vibrant fruit character.
- Vibrant, fresh and juicy with complexity: Bright red/purple colour, aromas of red and blue fruits, subtle dried herbs and spice. Soft entry on the palate with classic “sweet” Grenache fruit, a lively mid-palate pop of flavour and a savoury finish.
- Ideal for warmer months, festive meals or casual dining: Chill to 10 – 12°C, enjoy with seafood, spicy Asian dishes, or a good pepperoni pizza. Early-picked, easy-drinking style designed to be consumed young, but with enough structure to evolve slightly in the glass.
Best before
Grenache Nouveau essentially means a young wine, released early to the market, that is designed to drink as a young wine. Having said that, I'm sure it will age for 3-5 years, but it will just lose that primary fruit character that is the core of this wine.
Serving advice
Chill to down to 10-12 degrees during the warmer months 0.5-1hr in the fridge prior to opening.
If it is cold out, keep it at room temp.
Drink it young and enjoy!
Food match
This wine gives me pizza vibes... Our house is pretty vanilla with pizza now that we have kids, but a good pepperoni pizza with this wine is an absolute winner!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Josh Pfeiffer
- When the pandemic left Josh’s family wines in need of new homes, Angels came to the rescue and scooped them up. His brush with Naked freedom was enough to make him want to stay, and it was a special day when Angels welcomed him to the family for good!
- Josh is a talented winemaker with four generations of Barossa grape-growers blood flowing through his veins. He’s taking a fresh approach to traditional wines, backed by barrels of passion and industry know-how from iconic wineries.
- From growing up on a Penfolds vineyard to working at Henschke and helping put his family winery on the map, it’s no surprise he landed a spot on the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine list - three years in a row. What a rockstar!
