Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Versatile, savoury South Aussie red
- Adam’s brand new wine started life in the Atlas vineyard at Leasingham in the Clare Valley. After fermentation, it was pressed into a mix of stainless steel tanks and seasoned French oak barrels for a 9-month snooze prior to blending and bottling. Only a limited number of bottles are available.
- Crack the top and release the smell forest fruits and ripe plums, with hints of leather, tomato leaf and earthy spice. You should be able to pick out blueberries, bay leaf and cedar on the tongue with fine chocolatey tannins and a soft acid finish.
- This lovely red is so versatile - drink it on its own or with food - your choice. Being medium bodied and savoury, it’ll go nicely with almost anything. And Adam made just for you, so you can’t find it anywhere else!

Serving advice

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Adam Barton
- Adam Barton began his winemaking journey largely as a result of tasting a glass of the 1965 Lindemans Hunter River Burgundy, which he described as "magic". He was already a master craftsman when we found him, creating tiny amounts of his own premium label wines and winning big at the wine shows.
- Based in the Clare Valley, Adam has the freedom to explore different variteals and keep pushing the boundaries of experimentation to the delight of Angels' taste buds. We knew from the start he was a wine genius and Angels would love him!
- Adam's Rabbit & Spaghetti range of wines are snapped up by Angels, year in, year out. Carefully selected vineyards, passionate grower partners & lots of care and attention to the smallest detail in the winery make them an amazingly good drop.
