Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Young, fresh and vibrant!
-
Paul Nelson’s Nodus Tollens Pinot Noir is sourced from two of the oldest vineyards in Denmark, in the Great Southern wine region of WA. Finished in a combination new and older oak and matured on yeast lees, it's a complex and completely delicious!
-
There’s an abundance of intense red and dark fruits with a long finish that's beautifully wrapped up in spicy oak and earthiness. Fine silky tannins add another layer, giving this wine youthful charm.
-
Pinot Noir of this calibre would easily sell for over $40 a bottle, and it’s an absolute bargain to Angel’s for under $19. Don’t miss your chance to try some of Paul’s magic!
Best before
This wine will age well for another 10-15 years. Drink now for primary fruits and later for the earthen truffle elements.
Serving advice
Don't wait for a special occasion, live life and enjoy fine wines!
Food match
Mushroom risotto.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Paul Nelson
Growing up on a vineyard, Paul thought was destined to be a grower, but a study trip to France changed all that. The history, passion and romance of winemaking lit a fire in his belly and he changed course. A winemaking degree and vintages around the world followed, as he honed his delicious craft.
In 2009, he took the leap out on his own, and within 4 years had bought the oldest winery in Denmark, WA. His sublime wines raised eyebrows in esteemed wine circles and earned him a Top 10 Best New Wineries listing. But his volumes were small - he needed more grapes and a bigger audience. In short, he needed Naked Wines.
And so in 2015, Paul came on board and went from producing just 40 cases of sensational handmade wine to thousands as Angels clamoured for more. He’s now grown big enough to add one of the oldest vineyards in Mt Barker to his fold (signalling more Nelson goodies to come!).
