Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
The ultimate BBQ buddy!
"Tastes like the perfect combination of dark chocolate, spiced rum, and light pistachio (trust me). A beautiful blend - one much like that of a warm hug on a cold night." - Matilda, Angel
This wine in 3 words:
Magic: Unapologetically vibrant
Taste: Dark cherry, red berries, savoury spice
Food: Chargrilled anythingWinemaker Jen Pfeiffer’s Tempranillo pours a vibrant purpley red – with dark cherry and red berry aromas bursting from the glass, followed by seductive spicy overtones. It’s rich and robust – punchy, powerful, vibrant and very good. A whopping 98% of Angels gave the last vintage a big thumbs up.
This is the perfect partner for just about anything savoury. If you love juicy reds with rich, rounded mid-palate fruit and savoury, mouth-puckering tannins, Rebel Tempranillo deserves a very high spot on your list. "This is such a lovely easy drinking style of wine yet doesn't lack in the flavour department - bursting with berry and cherry fruit notes, along with hints of chocolate and spice, it's complex yet sooooo drinkable," says Jen.
Packed with intensity, complexity and depth, this wine is a true reflection of the passion and dedication of Jen’s growers – and the meticulous care she brings to every step in the winery.
Best before
My Rebel Tempranillo is sooo delicious now, but can mature in the short to mid-term until 2032.
Serving advice
Tempranillo really is a variety that likes a bit of exposure to air. Decant, pour into a jug, or open and allow to breathe, 1-2 hours prior to serving.
Ideal serving temperature is around 14-16°C (57-60oF)…..don’t be afraid to give it a light chill on a hot day.
Food match
My Rebel Tempranillo is the ultimate BBQ buddy – the ripe fruits, rich palate and savoury nature of the tannins make it the perfect wine to enjoy with char-grilled meats and vegetables, straight off the barbie!
Pork and fennel sausages, your favourite cut of steak or chiles relleno are all great food matches. ItÂ’s also a lovely wine to sip on its own.
