Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Luscious Langhorne Shiraz without the heat
-
This mid-strength Langhorne Creek Shiraz started out as the same wine as the Dolan & Dunn full strength version. They then carefully put the wine through reverse osmosis to remove some of the alcohol, resulting in a bright, fresh, fruity, and lighter-bodied wine style that is still packed with flavour.
-
Vibrant, deep magenta in colour, the nose is fragrant with lifted berry aromas of mulberry, raspberry and pomegranate. The palate is light and refreshing, with bright, red berry flavours and fine, long tannins. The finish is long, fresh and balanced. Utterly delicious.
-
The Dolan & Dunn team have created a light, elegant, fruity, low alcohol Shiraz that can be enjoyed glass after glass. It’s made to be enjoyed right now, and would be a perfect match to your next taco Tuesday diner.
Best before
D&D Mid Strength Langhorne Creek is drinking deliciously right now and as a lighter, low alcohol style, is ideal to enjoy within 2 years of release.
Serving advice
While not essential, allowing the wine to breathe for 30 minutes before drinking will more fully express its natural fruit character. Serve at room temperature, or in warm weather allow to chill for 20-30 minutes in the fridge.
Food match
The generous flavour and lighter palate weight of our Mid Strength Shiraz makes it a very versatile companion to a whole range of dishes, from full-flavoured fish, to vegetables, to red meats. It will happily handle a touch of spice. Try it with grilled tuna steaks with black pepper; Mexican pulled pork sliders; barbecued Merguez sausages with flatbreads; spinach and ricotta tortellini; or roast beetroot risotto.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Nigel Dolan & Caroline Dunn
- We’ve rolled out the red carpet…Angels are now in the presence of Aussie wine royalty! Caroline Dunn and Nigel Dolan have joined forces to bring you a combined 60 years of jaw-dropping, award-winning experience in their exclusive Dolan & Dunn range. You better get your skates on - these wines are going to fly!
- Caroline was the first female winemaker ever to win the coveted, and world famous, Jimmy Watson Trophy - the most prestigious and sought after wine award in Australia while she was paving the way for Wolf Blass. She is arguably the most awarded female winemaker in Australia.
- Caroline is joined by long time friend and wine-genius-superstar, Nigel Dolan. There is probably not a red wine Trophy in major Australian shows that Nigel’s wines have not won at least once, including the mighty Stodart Trophy three times, the Jimmy Watson Trophy twice, in addition to being named South Australian Winemaker of the Year, Barossa Winemaker of the Year and Winestate Australian Winemaker of the Year.
