There’s not a lot of Malbec grown in the Great Southern – it’s usually reserved for blending. But in this wine, fruit from acclaimed regions absolutely shines.

This is lush. Ripe plums and blue fruits will jump out of the glass, followed by a rich flavour impact. The palate is mouth-filling with Malbec's typical structured tannin profile.

If you like what you taste, you’d better stock up. There really wasn’t a lot of this wine made!

The tannin profile of this wine should allow confident cellaring for at least 8-10 years.
Serving advice
Don't be afraid to decant this youthful, fresh wine. A little aeration (double decant is best) will really bring the flavours to the fore.
Food match
Anything rich and hearty - Malbec is the national wine of Argentina, so there's no surprise that it goes perfectly with smoked/bbq meats such as Asado.

Meet the winemaker - Mike & Callum Garland
Father, Mike (‘Babbo’), spent the last 14 vintages at Castelli Estate in Denmark, WA, creating wines like their ‘Il Liris’ Chardonnay that won Best White in the 2020 AND 2021 International Wine & Spirit Competition. He’s in demand with other leading WA wineries like Rockcliffe, Singlefile and Plantagenet too.
Mike’s son Callum (‘Mimmo’) is snapping eagerly at his heels - an up-and-coming winemaker in his own right. He’s already up to his ears in grape juice, learning the ropes from one of the real characters of the business in Geelong.
Now, thanks to the backing of thousands of appreciative Angels across Australia, they can come together to create outstanding cool climate wines from the juiciest vineyards in WA's Great Southern region, and Victoria. “That’s so precious and it wouldn’t have happened for many years without the Angels.” says Mike.
