Food: Lamb. Lamb. More lamb.- This is not your everyday Cabernet. Grown at high elevation in the incredible Blackwood Valley, around three hours inland from Margaret River, this is a small-batch wine from a region that’s becoming increasingly hard to source fruit from. It was submitted for our 2026 Christmas Collection, tasted by our wine team and Head of Wine, and selected as a very special drop. It’s exclusive to this case right now.
- The Blackwood Valley gives it its signature. There’s something really distinctive about this Cabernet – a gorgeous blueberry character with a subtle herbal edge that makes it instantly recognisable. It’s got plenty of personality and the kind of flavour that keeps you going back for another sip. One to try if you like your reds a little different.
- And this one is built to go the distance. Decant it before serving to let all those flavours open up, then get the lamb on the table. Seriously: lamb, lamb and more lamb. It’s drinking beautifully now, but this is also one to forget about in the cellar for a while – winemaker Nigel Ludlow reckons it could keep getting better for 20 years.
