Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Unbelievably complex Heathcote Shiraz
This wine in 3 words:
Magic: World-class Shiraz from ancient soils
Taste: Deep, intense, complex melting pot of flavours
Food: Beef & Guinness pie
Heathcote soil is ideal for Shiraz due to its ancient, 500-million-year-old Cambrian red earth, which is rich in iron-oxide and nutrients. This makes for a luscious, bold wine that really packs a punch. Intense, complex flavours of Szechuan pepper, briar, blackberry, bramble, aniseed and baking spices all lead to a long, concentrated finish. Divine.
Last year, you told us sustainable packaging matters. This is us listening. Bagnums are great value because they cost less per litre thanks to less packaging and lower transport costs. Bagnums keep wine fresh for up to 3–4 weeks once opened, take up less room in the fridge, and are made for easy pouring & enjoyment with friends.
This is a stunning wine at an incredible price. Shiraz is such a powerhouse wine, and these portable "magnums in a bag" are perfect to have on tap in the pantry for those nights you don't want to open a whole bottle, or great to pack and take in the caravan, on a picnic, or events where glass is not allowed.
Best before
Not meant to be aged. Bagnum has a shelf life of approx. 12 months. Once opened, it stays fresh for up to 30 days.
Serving advice
I'd give it a little time in the glass once poured, to allow it to open up and really show you all the many interesting complexitites it has hiding away.
Food match
Amazing with a beef and Guiness pie, pepper crusted steaks char-grilled on the bbq or a slow roasted lamb shoulder with rosemark and garlic. Some great vegetarian options include wild mushroom risotto or eggplant parmigiana.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Adrian & Rebecca Santolin
- Adrian and Rebecca Santolin have been involved in winemaking for more than 20 years. Their dream was to one day make their own wine — but how? In a no guts, no glory move, this plucky pair used their hard-earned savings to make one barrel of Pinot Noir. The outcome was life changing...
- Their talent shone through right from the start and we snapped them up as our first Naked winemakers back in 2012. This dynamic duo are among our most popular winemakers, adored by thousands of wine-drinkers who love their European approach to the grape.
- Since those early days, the talented pair have gone from strength to strength, fuelled by their admiring Angels and a passion for crafting sensational wines. Over the first 10 years of being Naked, they scooped up 13 trophies, 55 gold medals and countless silver and bronze. And they show no signs of stopping!
