Making sensational wines from sustainable vineyards in the Murray Darling wine region.
Paige has a heritage that stretches back to German settlers who were growing grapes and making wine here in the 1890s, but she didn't know that until recently! She lives on a vineyard in McLaren Vale with Mum Jenny, surrounded by fantastic old bush vines.
Paige is a shining example of today’s young winemaking talent. In 2017, her first Rose made the list of Hot 100 Wines in South Australia. Her wines sing of the land where the grapes were grown - well-managed sustainable vineyards the popular Murray Darling wine region. Delicious and with vegan credentials to boot, they represent incredible value for money!
Getting Naked is a real thrill for Paige and she can't wait to hear from the Angels - "Education and interaction with wine lovers and people who are just starting to dip their toe into wine is the best part of my career, and the part that impassions me.”
Paige McArdle's Story
A chance comment from a relative caused winemaker Paige and her Mum, Jenny, to delve into the family history. It wasn’t long before they discovered they were descended from 19th Century German settlers and had winemaking in their blood!
Many years later, unaware of her heritage, Jenny started a successful career in the wine industry. In 2013, she bought a 26 acre vineyard in McLaren Vale and, together with Paige, began the labour of love to nurture the old bush vines back to tip top condition.
It wasn’t long before Paige headed off to study Wine Science (Oenology) at Charles Sturt University followed by vintages sharpening her winemaking skills at several South Australian wineries. In 2017, her first Rose made the list of Hot 100 Wines in South Australia! Now an established talented winemaker, Paige is concentrating on creating fantastic wines from Murray Darling fruit.
Partnering with Naked Wines brings Paige the freedom to create modern, exciting wines, and a fresh, eager community of Aussie wine lovers to enjoy them. Getting Naked is a real thrill and she can't wait to hear from the Angels - "Education and interaction with wine lovers and people who are just starting to dip their toe into wine is the best part of my career, and the part that impassions me.”
Paige’s first wines hit the Naked shelves in late 2020.
