About the wine

An elegant drop from VICs great Shiraz regions
  • Skilfully made with grapes from two distinctly different vineyards  - Nina’s family vineyard in Central VIC and another one in Heathcote - to give the wine layers of flavour. Matured in French oak barrels for 8 months.
  • Open a bottle and set free its dark cherry berry crumble flavours with a sprinking of dark chocolate and sage. Mouthwatering tannins and a long silky finish will tempt you in for another sip!
  • An excellent example of a beautiful, elegant Shiraz from two of Victoria's great Shiraz growing regions. Elegant and easy drinking but still with that unmistakeable Shiraz punch.

Best before
Could easily age for 10+ years

Serving advice
Can be opened and drunk straight away or will develop if left to breathe for 30 min before drinking.

Food match
Great in winter with a Venison ragu, burnt butter and sage gnocchi. If you're wanting something a little lighter and spicier try with a seafood paella

Meet the winemaker - Nina Stocker & Kate Day

  • Ok, so why the name Two Pairs? Nina Stocker (real name, Katherine) and Kate Day (real name, Kathryn) are lifelong besties. A chance meeting at Kate’s wedding saw Nina meet and fall in love with the best man - the identical twin brother of Kate’s husband. All clear!? Wowwwww!

  • They embarked on globe-travelling wine odysseys that spanned 15 years and took in France, Italy, Napa Valley, Portugal, Marlborough, McLaren Vale, Yarra Valley, Tasmania and Central Victoria to name a glorious few. Here’s a couple of bragging rights...

  • Nina, as Chief Winemaker for Catalina Sounds, Crowded House and Nanny Goat in N.Z. scored the prized Air New Zealand Trophy for Best Sauvignon Blanc. Extraordinary!

  • Kate, when winemaker at the esteemed Willunga-100 winery in McLaren Vale had two of her wines listed as consecutive finalists in the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy. Elite!
