Lover's Grave Pinot Noir 2021
About the wine
A classy Pinot from a hidden gem of a region!
- An organically managed vineyard of 28-yr old, low yielding vines was the birthplace of this smooth and sophisticated Pinot Noir.
- Once into the winery, the small batches of grapes were each fermented in a different fashion to give Young Gun Coby lots of options for his final masterpiece. He’s also used some lovely French oak barrels to add interest and harmonise to the wine.
- This ruby rascal smacks of cherries with a touch of earthiness and a lot of funky goings on in the background! It’s a luscious mouth-coating wine that will reward you with a long, satisfying finish.
Best before
Grab a couple of bottles and drink now because it is hard to resist but if you have patience it will reward over the next 8-10 years with good cellaring.
Serving advice
Allow it to breathe for half an hour prior to drinking.
Food match
A mushroom risotto is a great pairing as is a rare fillet steak. But if you can get your hands on crispy duck pancakes - perfect.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Coby Ladwig
- His silky winemaking skills have helped the stunning West Cape Howe, Singlefile Wines and Rockcliffe wineries garner coveted 5-Star Halliday ratings. And, in 2017, he was one of the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine.
But, it was only very recently, when Coby summoned up all his courage to strike out on his own, that things really began to get, ahhh, Naked - began to really make sense!
Yep, when you helped Coby become a liberated Naked winemaker, able to handcraft small-volume boutique wines exclusively for Angels, that’s when another dream took shape and started to fly!
