About the wine
A stunning modern Chardonnay from 'The Hills'
- Adelaide Hills is a fantastic region for Chardonnay in Australia. Glenn took full advantage of pristine hand-picked grapes from a superb year to craft this stunning modern wine.
- Contact with the grapes skins during the winemaking process has given this wine a rich yellow colour and buckets of fruit flavour. But you won't find any of the heavy 'oaky' charatcers of old.
- A quick will swirl will reveal all its secrets — the smell of lemon curd and freshly squeezed limes, and something like almonds, or is it vanilla? You decide. If you like Chardonnay from Margaret River or the Adelaide Hills with flavour and brightness, this is for you!
Best before
It's to drink and be delicious from day 1, but it will evolve slowly over time. Drink it any time over the next 2 years to enjoy its crisp nature.
Serving advice
Drink in a large wide-brimmed glass if possible. A good swirl will release all the juicy details. Each glass can show you something new and interesting!
Food match
Love it with a good roast chook with Chardonnay, especially if it's done over coals. It also goes fantastically well with fish tacos - a simple tomato and coriander salsa, lightly battered fish (preferably flathead), guacamole, fresh radish slices and a good corn tortilla and you'll be transported to a beach on the west coast of Mexico!!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Glenn Barry
- Glenn Barry is a South Australian wine wizard, an ex-chief winemaker for Knappstein and a highly respected wine show judge. His philosophy of ‘no boring wines’ ensures a fantastically flavoured flourish in every bottle.
He’s had a stellar career working vintages in big wineries in Italy, the US and Canada, as well as here in Australia. When he tired of years sleeping on other folks' couches, he settled down in South Australia and worked his way up the ranks to Chief Winemaker.
With a ton of medals under his belt and all the right connections, he’s struck out on his own. Now he makes his own wines for us that are fun and interesting to drink. And you can be the judge of that!
