Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
- The grapes were sourced from separate North Canterbury vineyards and brought together to make this classy NZ Pinot Gris.
- The natural fruit sweetness is balanced with a perfect acidity that is such a hallmark of great cool-climate wines. You’ll be bowled over by the scent of nashi pear and lime leaf that mingles with hints of citrus and candied apple. Every refreshing mouthful is crisp, clean and long lasting.
- For the seventh year, Naked Angels are helping father and daughter winemaking team Nicky and Peter Parish continue their Dunnolly dream. And with wines of this quality, who can blame them!
Best before
This Pinot Gris is crafted to be enjoyed fresh and vibrant in its youth, showcasing aromatic lift, fruit purity, and fine texture. That said, with its balanced acidity and time on lees, it has the structure to evolve gracefully over the next 3-5 years (2028-2030). With careful cellaring, expect the wine to develop added complexity, with richer honeyed notes, softer texture, and deeper stone fruit characters, while retaining its underlying freshness. Best enjoyed chilled, either now for its brightness or with short-term cellaring for added depth.
Serving advice
Serve lightly chilled -around 10-12C to allow the aromatics and texture to fully express themselves. A quick swirl in the glass helps release the vibrant pear, stone fruit, and floral notes. This wine is ready to enjoy upon opening and does not require decanting, though it will continue to open up in the glass over the first 15–20 minutes. Ideal as a refreshing aperitif or paired with a wide range of dishes.
Food match
Enjoy with this Pinot Gris is BBQ Moreton Bay bugs with lemon and herb butter. The wine's bright acidity and gentle texture beautifully complement the sweetness of the shellfish while cutting through the richness of the butter. It also pairs wonderfully with saltbush lamb cutlets served with a light couscous salad-where the wine's clean, mineral finish lifts the flavours without overpowering them. For a casual option, try it with a fresh zucchini and ricotta tart or a simple snapper ceviche with finger lime and coriander.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Nicky Parish
Nicky’s parents, Peter and Felicity, chose the tiny, unique Waipara Valley in New Zealand’s South Island to plant their longed for vineyard. Pruning the vines on crisp winter mornings ignited Nicky’s love affair with wine.
The Parish family continued to grow grapes for the best producers in New Zealand for 10 years, but yearned for greater security and their own name on the label. With Nicky now a seasoned winemaker, Angels gave her the amazing opportunity to work with and learn from her father.
To this day, Angels allow Nicky to grow the business and spend time with young family. With Peter taking a well-earned governorship role, Nicky’s picking up the baton managing more of the business. Although Peter is never far away (the local golf course) if she needs some advice!
