About the wine
Premium, hot value, pizza-friendly
- The story behind the grapes for this wine really sets the mood for what is a premium drop. Let’s start with the Shiraz. The vineyard is set in the apple capital of South West Victoria, Donnybrook. Beautiful rolling hills are lined with vines, nestled in amongst a bush backdrop. The gravelly sandy earth is a match made for Shiraz, producing flavour-packed fruit. The Viognier was plucked by hand, deliciously ripe and ready to pack a punch. The two grapes merged to create a wine that’s utterly delicious with a big, juicy flavour.
- Have a sip. You’ll get a big, fruity hit of plum and blueberries, with hints of thyme, chocolate and florals. Close your eyes and concentrate… you’ll also get some hints of charred oak. The tannins will leave your mouth watering. There’s a lot going on with this well-crafted blend.
- It’s a premium drop available just for you - at a top value price. It’s a perfect match for homemade pizza, topped with gooey mozzarella and smoky meats, along with peppery rocket. It’s nice to enjoy a unique blend… it’s especially nice to enjoy one that's this full of taste.

Meet the winemaker - Kym Carr
- Rooted in Margaret River, shaped by the world - A lifelong connection to Margaret River, refined by a formative Beaujolais vintage and 25+ years working with some of the region's most respected wineries. "I love wines with texture and body, the kind that make you want to sip slowly and savour every mouthful. That's why I always work with solids and lees to build richness, whether the wine is hanging out in oak or chilling in a tank - it's all about giving each wine a little extra character and soul," says Kym.
- A true one-woman winemaking force - Founder of Dream Bird Wines, Kym does it all: sourcing fruit, making the wine, bottling, labelling, and delivering, with total respect for vineyard and craft. "People are over the big, faceless brands and they are craving a story in their glass. Just like food, wine is becoming personal again - drinkers want to know where it comes from and feel a real connection to it. It's exciting to be a part of that shift."
- Thoughtful, expressive, and deeply human - Kym crafts wines driven by curiosity, texture, and delicious drinkability, focused on storytelling, connection, and making people smile. "When I first started out, I used to look at winemakers with a mix of awe and intimidation - making good wine felt like magic, something almost untouchable. Over the years, I've realised it's not magic at all; it's all about respect for the vineyard and the fruit. Start with grapes that are cared for, and the rest is just a journey of discovery."
