A tempting trio of Barossa reds
This Barossa champion is telling stories of the Valley through your glass.
In the 20 years since he made his first wine with precious fruit from his parent’s vineyard, he’s built a 4.5-star winery and gathered a ‘who’s-who’ of local growers to work with.
“My primary aim has always been to showcase the variation in the region's vineyards and allow natural characteristics to shine through,” he explains.
The 2021 Tongue in Cheek Shiraz is a nod to Rhone reds — a tango of spice, structure and generous fruit flavours like red plums and cherries on the tongue, with chewy tannins. A fun drop to share with mates.
The 2021 Pensive Poet Reserve Shiraz is an extremely aromatic drop from multiple districts within the Barossa Valley. It’s packed with blue and red fruits like blackberry, macerated cherries and raspberry compote. One to sip and contemplate.
The 2021 Significant Other Premium Shiraz was handpicked from old, gnarly vines in a single vineyard, planted in 1933. It’s a big, rich and bold premium drop with more depth of character than traditional Barossa styles. Share if you dare…
