About the wine
One barrel, only the best
- This Shiraz from Adam is Top Shelf in every sense, made from intensely flavoured dry grown grapes. They were picked from the gorgeous North Eastern slopes of the Clare Valley. In the past, Adam has released both Shiraz and Cab reserves, but from the 2015 vintage onwards he is only releasing whichever red fruit is most premium that year under his sleek painted Reserve label.
- Once you twist the top, aromas of dark berry fruits, cinnamon, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and dutch liquorice will float around and make your mouth water. Try not to dive right into the glass at this point!
- With a palate underpinned by firm tannins and spicy French oak, it's a wine gifted with great length and persistence of flavour. Made in only minuscule quantities, this is certainly a wine treat yourself or someone special with.

Serving advice
Twist the top, resist drinking the whole bottle instantly, and let it breathe for around 2 hours before serving at room temperature. This will help the layers open up and maximise the potential of the beautiful fruit.

Meet the winemaker - Adam Barton
- Adam Barton began his winemaking journey largely as a result of tasting a glass of the 1965 Lindemans Hunter River Burgundy, which he described as "magic". He was already a master craftsman when we found him, creating tiny amounts of his own premium label wines and winning big at the wine shows.
- Based in the Clare Valley, Adam has the freedom to explore different variteals and keep pushing the boundaries of experimentation to the delight of Angels' taste buds. We knew from the start he was a wine genius and Angels would love him!
- Adam's Rabbit & Spaghetti range of wines are snapped up by Angels, year in, year out. Carefully selected vineyards, passionate grower partners & lots of care and attention to the smallest detail in the winery make them an amazingly good drop.
