As soon as you lift the glass to your nose it smells 'foreign', exotic. It is tannic and alcoholic and big on flavour. I love grenache but this is a different beast altogether to the OZ version. And both are wonderful! This will last for quite a while and the tannins will soften. But wow, how good is it now and especially with food? Well done Nigel, an absolute cracker.
