Had some pretty big expectations for this release, based on the quality of the boys' debut release a while back. Expectations exceeded by a Granite Belt mile. This wine is a technicolour journey for the senses, not just a tasty adult beverage. I'm not sure how, but somehow this wine manages to elicit memories of enjoying a fine cigar dipped in Courvoisier, catching the clean, animal smell of a t-bone just before it hits the smoky grill of the barbecue, and picking buckets of fresh blackberries at my cousin's place in Washington state. The usual oenophile descriptors apply here as well - silky and supple mouth feel (goes well with the name on the label), loads of savoury umame (again!), and a palate that's more balanced than a monkey on stilts riding a unicycle. Thanks, gents. Quality work.
