Best before
Generally I encourage people to drink the Butterfly Effect Chardonnay as a youngster, say within 1 or 2 years. But this particular wine with its cooler alcohol and fresh acid will age a little longer for people who like Chardonnay with a more golden colour, and more toasty aromatics. But not to be misunderstood - the peachy fruit flavour makes it a great drink now wine!
Serving advice
I think 12-14C is a good drinking temperature for this wine - if it's too cold flavours get shut down. So if you have time, pull it out of the fridge half an hour before drinking, to let it warm up a little from the 5C fridge cold.
Food match
Don't know if they can be found in the UK, but a treat with yabbies! Or for something easier to find, drink this Chardonnay with any grilled fish, or with sushi and sashimi.

Meet the winemaker - Sam Plunkett
- Winemaking legend Sam sources grapes from the family vineyard in the Strathbogie ranges of Central Victoria. Winemakers don't come much more in love with their job than him - he'd "happily spend everyday around tanks, barrels, stainless steel toys and wine".
He’s had a meteoric rise from self-taught winemaker to a multi award-winner and even has his own cellar door now! His winery was recently recognised as one of the Top 10 Dark Horse wineries in James Halliday's 2021 Awards.
