About the wine
The best Barossa Shiraz grapes meet Henschke-honed winemaking skills.
This is a rare and astonishing Shiraz from the famous Paradigm Vineyard - one of the most prized pockets of soil for that varietal in the entire Barossa Valley (wine from the vineyard next door sells for $750 a bottle).
Josh used the traditional Barossan method of keeping the skins submerged during fermentation to breathe extra life into his creation. Big names like Penfolds and Henschke do this with Grange and Hill of Grace.
Treat yourself to a dive into its deep, inky colour and the decadent characters of dark chocolate, blackberries and blackberry jam. A more rich and luxurious red we’ve yet to find for the price. But be quick - there are only 700 bottles in existence!
Best before
It will age comfortably for 15+ years, but who has the patience for that these days?!? Buy a couple of bottles, open one when you have a suitable occasion and then decide for yourself when you should drink the rest.
Serving advice
If you are drinking this wine within the first 12-24 months from purchase, then I would recommend opening the bottle and having a taste first. If it seems a bit closed or tight, then decant the wine and have another taste. Continue to taste it every half an hour, or until the decanter is empty.
Food match
Medium rare chefs cut rump, drizzle it with a green sauce made up of parsley, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and salt. Roast some potatoes until they are golden brown. Serve it all with a caprese salad (ripe tomato, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil). You can thank me later.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Josh Pfeiffer
- When the pandemic left Josh’s family wines in need of new homes, Angels came to the rescue and scooped them up. His brush with Naked freedom was enough to make him want to stay, and it was a special day when Angels welcomed him to the family for good!
- Josh is a talented winemaker with four generations of Barossa grape-growers blood flowing through his veins. He’s taking a fresh approach to traditional wines, backed by barrels of passion and industry know-how from iconic wineries.
- From growing up on a Penfolds vineyard to working at Henschke and helping put his family winery on the map, it’s no surprise he landed a spot on the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine list - three years in a row. What a rockstar!
