About the wine
A beautifully balanced & full flavoured Cabernet
Cathy and Neil Howard’s Boots & All Cabernet returns! This beautifully balanced full flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon from their beloved burgeoning WA wine region of Geographe is sure to knock your socks off.
Hand-crafted, basket-pressed and matured on French oak for 10 months this flavour-filled Cabernet is soft and generous on the palate. Blueberries, dark chocolate, mocha and savoury flavours linger a little longer too.The mouthfeel is soft, round and generous. A subtle combo of sweet dark and savoury flavours result in a wine which will match perfectly with a range of different dishes such as Beef carbonnade with farm grown carrots and baked baby beetroots… yummm!
You can taste the labour-intensiveness in this handcrafted Cabernet. You will be blown away with aromas of blueberries plums, a hint of raspberries and dark chocolate with an underlying savouriness to it all. Why not get a few bottles to see how this wine develops over the years?
Best before
At least 5 years but probably longer! It all depends on what type of flavours you like in your aged cabernet as to when it is best to drink for you. This wine has balance, structure and flavour weight setting it up to age. Wines can surprise you, so I suggest buying some extra bottles and storing them away to try every 12 months.
Serving advice
As it's a young red, I would open the bottle, an hour or so before you are planning on drinking it.
Food match
Beef carbonnade with farm grown carrots and baked baby beetroots. I can provide a recipe if you are interested?

Meet the winemaker - Cathy & Neil Howard
Cathy & Neil run their own brilliant Geographe vineyard in Western Australia. This is where the Boots & All magic happens, turning out hand-crafted wines full of TLC and flavour. What’s more their winery earned a 5-star rating and was awarded one of ten Dark Horse wineries by James Halliday in 2015.
With a combined 55 years of experience working with some of the BIGGEST and BEST in the game, we didn’t hesitate welcoming this wonder couple in to the Naked community. Cathy honed her winemaking craft at the likes of St Hallett in the Barossa, and Neil’s vigneron experience has come from the likes of the mighty Sandalford in Margaret River.
It's been a long road to taking the leap and managing their own patch of perfect soil - a dream for any passionate winemaker. Now, with Angel backing, Cathy & Neil have the ability to craft small batch, single vineyard wines which are full of varietal flavour from grapes grown in ancient soils. This is the kind of freedom that turns wine into something truly personal, unique and undeniably delicious.
