Engine Room Sparkling Blanc de Blanc
About the wine
.
- Blanc de Blanc is a French term meaning "whitest of whites" and is commonly used to describe a sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, rather than the more traditional Chardonnay and Pinot blends.
- Granny Smith apples on the nose with a sophisticated palate that shows a beautifully defined sparkling wine with intense, lingering flavours of lime, lemon and freshly baked bread!
- 'Great value for the price' is said in nearly every review of this wine from over 60 customers! Close your eyes, take a sip and you could mistake yourself for being in France without the price tag.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Hamish Maguire
- Hamish was born into a respected winemaking family and raised among the McLaren Vale vineyards. His passion for the industry isn’t just down to family ties though, vintages in traditional wineries in Europe sealed his grape-induced fate.
- Hamish's 'day job' is overseeing his successful family business — a much respected and awarded Mclaren Vale winery. But he's a visionary and a rebel at heart, so in 2012, he joined the Naked Wines family to make Angels his ‘passion’ wines — Engine Room.
- His Engine Room wines are a product of imagination and a willingness to be different. These skillful blends of traditional with ‘alternative’ varieties, coupled with Angel backing, gives Hamish a creative outlet from the typical winemaking of the region to create something new and exciting. And it's made him one of our most popular winemakers in the process!
