Now this is a winner folks. First and foremost the ceremony of it all with the morbid label and the thick wax, it's an experience just trying to open the damn thing. I have to say the very first sip it was tasting a bit hot, like the alcohol was too present and I was worried the QLD climate may have had the better of the grapes here. From there it just went up and up and up though. Really grippy, leathery mouthfeel. mid-bodied with enough fruit and a real savoury edge to it that I loved. A++ on the, is it delicious the next day test too. Well done gents on a cracking first wine for NW.
